The New Seasons of Lurve

A premise so easy, even a caveman could do it.

As a new school semester begins, so does a season of new distractions. Take for instance the new fall TV lineup!

Now I'm not one to watch a WHOLE lot of television *cough*, but I did take the time to watch a few shows that started this season. And I took in a wide range (mostly cause my friends made me). I suppose I'll turn this into a few parts blog, so ;et's start alphabetically, with ABC.

Private Practice

Ok. I'm just mentioning this show so I can get it out of the way. This show is a classic spin off....stupid and insulting to fans of the show it spun off from (Frasier is the exception to this). Not only is the show too much in terms of incredibly unbelievable medical emergencies (FOR A PRIVATE PRACTICE!), but it sounds like it's written by guys going through puberty: they had to have said sperm about 20 times in the episode (and not in a professional doctory way), not to mention the fact that Tim Daly's character keeps making fun of the fact that Addison kissed him. How juvenile.

VERDICT: Change the channel, stat!

DirtySexyMoney

When you get someone like Donald Sutherland on a show, frankly, I don't know what to think. The guy's done some pretty awful stuff (Buffy) and some pretty amazing stuff (Buffy). But when you throw in Peter Krause, you can be sure the show is going to be ....interesting. Everything about the premier was completely over the top, but in the best of ways. You have a guy who's a lawyer for a exceedingly rich family who deal in nothing but extravagant situations. One son is a drunk, another is a clergyman with a secret son, another is a future senator who sleeps with Candice Cane (a NYC drag queen). And the father (Sutherland) who loves them but loves his friend's son more (Krause). Oh, and one of the family members killed Krause's father.

VERDICT: Dirty: yes. Sexy: definitely. Money: Oh, it's there. It really has it all.

Cavemen

Hasn't premiered yet. I can already tell you that this is going to be awful, but I think I'm going to check it out anyway, as I am a slave to good advertising.

VERDICT: (Coming in the edit)
