Brand New Rant

If the marriage is a sham, does that make the cake a lie?

Come, sit with me and have a cup of Joe. Oh, that bitter taste.

In an IGN interview with Joe Quesada during C2E2, he reveals what the mysterious "O.M.I.T." ads stand for: the newest Spider-Man arc taking place in #637-640, "One Moment in Time."

This arc will reveal all the gritty details on what went down when Peter and Mary struck their uncharacteristic deal with ol' 'Phisty to save Aunt May from death's door (even though she specifically said not to).

According to Joe, we are going to find out what happened, what didn't happen, what won't happen, and what will never happen again. We will get the answers we've been expecting to get, especially whether or not MJ knows and what she whispered to him that fateful day (or night, it was dark if I recall).

Also, the ongoing tease of the mindwipe and why Peter seems to know about it will finally be put to rest. But to begin explaining this, Joe had this to say:
"I think people have preconceived notion that Mephisto just waved his hand and magically changed everything in Peter's world and the entire Marvel Universe."

Some of you may Joe Quesada's famous words explaining the mindwipe and the rest, reiterated in this Newsarama article, saying "It's magic. We don't need to explain it."

So...wait. Was it magic, or wasn't it? Is he retconning his own retcon?! Too trippy.

All I know is, if they kill MJ, I'm officially done with Spider-Man. 'Nuff said.
