He's Dead, She's Dead

Bobby Fisher (r) playing against futuristic android Data (l) from Star Trek. Oh wait...

As a film major, I suppose I OUGHT to post at least once about movies, rather than my comic obsession and videogaming lifestyle.
I love horror movies. So much. The gorier, the better. There are so many out there. But one has always stuck out in my mind:
The Evil Dead.
Now, I love musicals, too. But Evil Dead: The Musical? Can it work? Could it work?
It did.
Evil Dead: The Musical was the greatest musical I've ever seen. Ever. It was the most perfect mixing of zombies, horror, and musical camp I've ever seen in my life. I wanted to cry from happiness. So very good. And my favorite part was Cheryl. Oh, she was the greatest thing ever.
Speaking of the dead, I stayed up late to catch perhaps one of my favorite movies EVER on IFC: The Seventh Seal.
I don't normally like older movies, but this one just oozes with depth and brilliance. And seeing it again had made me realize the poinance it has to today's world. Watch it and see. YOU HAVE TO.
